Feminist Criticism

Feminist approach is concerned with gender dimension which is important in considering in writing and reading as well. It is also concerned with the role of female generally in writing and its role in the society.
Feminist approach is is also concerned with equality for both gender, because all too often male is consider as more powerful and superior over females in different dimensions. It was also argued that we all undergo through three major phases of development, and these stages are labeled as feminine which involves "imitation", feminist involves protest against standards and values. Female is more concerned in self-discovery or self-identity.

Reader-Response Criticism

http://media.photobucket.com/image/book/aarzu_r/amazing%20pics1/book.jpg?o=13

In this approach, it stresses the importance of the reader, because without a reader the text is considered as no value and no meaning until the reader reads it. It explains that the text once was read, it has already it's meaning and value.. Though
giving meaning is mentioned it has'nt have structure and guidelines to be followed in giving meaning unlike other approaches. The reader has all his right to express or say what he observed or perceived after reading a particular text. Naturally there could be different responses and perspectives from the readers simply because readers have different orientations, perceptions and education.

The Great Gatsby

http://media.photobucket.com/image/the%20great%20gatsby/antobrien/books/great-gatsby.jpg?o=19
One of the novel's theme is "sometimes, what is forbidden is what the heart desires" like in the case of Jay Gatsby, he knew that Daisy is a married woman but he is still "desiring " for Daisy's heart.
This novel has a relation with the "Great American Dream" which is the desire to have great power and strength, to be in the pedestal, to have great prosperity, material wealth and possession, (but now, they are facing a great economic crisis which will soon affect other countries like the Philippines. ='c

Reader-Response Approach

http://photobucket.com/images/achebe/
I really enjoyed reading the novel "Things Fall Apart" because it feels like I became closer to Africa when I read it. Reading this novel gave me a hint of what it is like to live in Africa. It seems that I am really present there when Ezinma got sick, when Okonkwo accidentally kills a boy, when Okonkwo's family was exiled until the time when they returned to Umuofia, when the Missionaries arrived and until when Okonkwo finammy kills himself.
Although I admire Okonkwo for his wisdom, courage and for his plans for his tribe, I strongly disagree with his way of treating his opposite gender. ='c

Hinduism

H Pictures, Images and Photos

Hinduism is the major religion of India, it teaches about commitment and respect for an ideal way of life. They have the so called Caste System which refers to the duties of one's class, this is really divisions of different classes of every member which is part of their religion. Their classes is divided into four great classes, first are the priest, second are the warriors or rulers, third are the merchants or farmers and fourth the peasants and laborers and lastly the untouchables, these are those whose occupations require them to handle unclean objects they consider these kind of class as the most lower level of living. Their general duties is concerned with moral acts, which includes non-violence, purity, faith, courage, self-control. That is their major uniqueness from other religions.

Feminist Criticism

http://media.photobucket.com/image/things%20fall%20apart/nubianworldorder/EBAYSTUFF/THINGSFALLAPART.jpg?o=20
There is a strong perpetuation of the male supremacy in the novel "Things Fall Apart". For instance, our central character, Okonkwo, always tend to belittle the female gender. There is an instance that he beats his second wife, Ekwefi and nearly kill her with a gun. For him, the female gender is "as weak as an old woman".
I can say that Okonkwo is a feminist because he protest against the standards and values, advocacy of minority rights.

Reaction

It is very much true that when we love we should reserve something for ourselves. I agree, because we must not give all our love to a certain person and having no love left for ourselves.
I also believe that before we can love others, we should first love ourselves more than anyone else or anything else. So that we can give or share that genuine love that we have inside our hearts and it will come out naturally and unselfishly. The love must grow inside us, as the saying goes, "We cannot give what we do not have", its the same in loving we should put love first in ourselves before we can share that love to others.

I Have a Dream

People generally have their own dreams in life. They are anticipating for it to turned into a reality. But sometimes, even if we tried or give our very best still its not enough to be remarkable.
When we dream of something i believe that it doesn't solely stop there, you must do something to achieve it , you must exert more effort...
I myself also have a dream, that someday our nation will have one aim and that is unity.
I dream that i have enough money, enough to sustain all the necessities of the people in need. So that everybody will be happy and satisfied.
I dream that this nation will have great pride...
Yes, I'm dreaming....

The Sounds of Silence

The classical song entitled The Sounds of Silence by Paul Simon talks about the usual sickness of almost all people. It depicts the complexity of reality and life itself, which is constantly happening to our present life situation. The common illness of most individual is that they tend to hear rather than listen and talk rather than speak. In my realization the persona in the song was not happy, his heart is full of sorrows and burden that puts him in vain. If we'll try to internalize the message of the song, the persona was talking to numerous of people who are numb and careless to what was constantly happening around them. The prime problem is that people nowadays tends to be passive, they just hear which implies using only the auditory organ instead of listening which is internalizing what was being said and they just ignore the things which might be important to them. Almost people are not bothered by just letting things happen as it is, without doing something that could be more purposeful and productive. It is because people are afraid of letting their voice out.
I believe that change start within ourselves because change is self-initiated.If we want changes to occur , then we must do something and work on it to come up with the desired outcome. We should keep in mind that change should always be for the better. We cannot keep on telling other people to change because no matter how many time we tried to tell about a certain thing if they themselves do not make their own moves or think their own way that would be of no value we should not overdo doing it, its enough that we have told them several time they are still the one who will do the decision for themselves . We should not let ourselves decide for others and we should not also let other decide for us. We have our freedom of expression and we are free to exercise it but it should be in accordance to our limitations.

Is it magic? by Charles Robinson

Reflection:
Is it magic? I guess Samia Yusuf Omar did is not a magic it is the product of perseverance to achieve what she really wants.I like the personality of the character because inspite of the fact that their government doesn't care about them still she do her best to go to Beijing olympic with a dignity that she bear.

Moral or Philosophical Approach [movie]

Moral or Philosophical approach is one important factor that we need to study as a student because it deals about morality on how certain instances affect to our lives. This kind of approach is one of the best way to further understand some situation, experience and even through reading activity because this method is applicable when we read a story which gives a lesson to the reader or even a movie.
I like the movie of "Pinokyo" because from that story we can get a very good kind of lesson. I think this movie is popular to all people especially to children. This is the story of a boy that when he tell a lie his nose become longer, that everytime he commet mistake from lying there is a big change that that happen to him, until he realized that it is not good to tell a lie to everybody, from that point of view we can already guess that the lesson of that to the viewer that lying is not good that every mistake that we do there is a consequence that we face.

Doing Research Paper...

Research paper is a systematic, objective and comprehensive investigation of certain phenomenon which involves accurate gathering, recording and critical analyzing and interpreting of all facts about the phenomenon.
Research paper for me, is one of the most difficult paper work that I encounter for the past years, but through with this activity I can be able to gain knowledge and experience even if it is hard and requires a lot of time to come up with a research paper, from this experience I learned that we cannot make a research paper in just an hour or days.
I guess our individual research paper in LITERARY CRITICISM sublect, I am planning thar I will work on the two shory story and with different author.

English Teacher: A Chinese English Teacher

Reflection:
I never thought I would become a Education student because I never dream to talk in front of the class and I really never think to be a teacher.I have no choice to study in the school that I want that is why I enroll to CSSAC as a education student. But if I would be ask if I will continue this field I will be proud to say "YES" because as I go along with this field I learn to love this course because from the experience that I encounter I realized that being a teacher is not an easy task it needs a lot of patience and not only the mind will work as well as the heart and spiritual aspects to become a effective and good teacher.
In connection with the article "English Teacher: A Chinese English Teacher" I admire the persona in the article because even if he/she will not become rich in teaching still she continue what her heart and mind desire. I agree that teaching profession can make the world more and more each day because as we can see our teachers doing their best to share knowledge that they have. They are triying their best to impart different knowledge to thei students.
In the selection I cannot blame those teachers who choose to teach foreign students because maybe they have good reason why they prefer to go to other country. I appreciate them and I understand them because it is not easy to teach english language especially to the country that english is a foreign language to them.

Othello (William Shakespeare)

The play Othello was another creation of William Shakespeare in a form of drama. The story evolves on the central character, Othello who had his wife Desdemona. Their relationship was ruined by an erroneous judgment that leads to unwanted crime. The minor characters such as Iago and Emilia are contributory to Desdemona's death.
False judgment are major cause of rampant crimes, being too judgmental without searching for the truth or weighing the evidences made us leap into an immoral decision.
Thus, before making major or even if it's just minor decisions we should put in our mind that life once it is omitted we can never restore it back. We have to think twice or even more before leaping to a conclusion because one wrong decision cause a lot, especially when it is about our life...

Morning yet on Creation Day

The essay Morning yet on Creation Day was another essay written by Chinua Achebe which talks about the Hopes and Impediments of thTeir tribe that hindered the tribesmen from doing what they want, and this is to assert the Independence of their tribe.
All they wanted is to be free from the hands of those dominant people who are wanting to possess them.

Decolonizing the Mind (Ngugi wa Thiongo)

According to Ngugi wa Thiongo the hardest of all to decolonized is the mind. He believed that only the physical dimension of human being undergoes decolonization but to possess the mind trough thr process of decolonization was impossible.
This essay emphasizes the conflict between the dominant and the inferior one. They are struggling to preserve their native language and culture against colonialism. They are fighting for their rights against Imperialism for the preservation of their practices and beliefs. Ngugi believed that only unity or the oneness of the people can make them won.
Through studying this essay, I learned that to preserve one language you must write something using your vernacular language for the superb preservation of one native language.

My Life as a Student

My life as a student is not as easy as what it seems. Like other students, i also encounter difficulties and hardships and also undergo so many trials. Eventhough, I experienced such, that does'nt stop me from doing what i want, because i have a goal in my mind that serves as an inspiration for me to go on. Life as expected, have never ending. It is a process that constantly continues whether we like it or not we must deal with it because we cannot expect exemptions from these.
As a student, I consider myself as an empty vessel, that still waiting to be filled in. Im not yet satisfied with what i know. I still feel the urge of equipping myself through constant study. I believe that i can achieve anything if i do something about it.
It only takes perseverance and determination to achieve my desired goals in life. Yes, it's difficult, bit its a part of it. Great achievements come to those who are willing to take risks and undergo difficulties. as what others said, life must go on, and so should I.

Of Studies (Francis Bacon)

In an essay entitled "Of Studies," Francis Bacon gives not only his opinion of the different reasons of studies but also his own classification of books. This essay lead us to find out the different ideas of studying books.
According to Francis Bacon, "Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested."
Today we have all sorts of reading materials (books, articles, magazines, news papers). We have all the freedom to read them as we pleased, we can read them only in parts or if we want, we can read the book entirely. We read books not only for its quality, but we also read books which caught our interests.
Books in our everyday life, has become a usual source and useful tool in gathering data, for reaserches and other concerns. We find pleasures in reading books which are consider as the books of all time.
I have several books at home and i continously reading them, for me they are worth reading and keeping. It helps me to lengthen the horizon of my ideas and forming concepts.
We must keep in our mind that not all books are to be swallowed or to be digested, we must have a better discernment on how we'll value and appreciate a particular book.
Keep on reading!

Moral/Philosophical Approach

The moral or Philosophical Approach tends to see the goodness or badness of a particular work of art. This approach is useful in considering the moral implications or themes of a particular literary work.
It stresses that even if we are using this type of approach as a reader or as a critic, we should not be too judgemental to the extent wherein we are mislead or we tend to go away from the goodness and important concepts of a certain work. The sense of moderation should also be consider here. We should not mislead them, the readers to the authentic content of a particular literary work in considering this approach.
Aside from the fact that it give reader the sense of reflectivity, it also emphasizes the effect on the readers affective domain.
The concept of balance should be present and not be excluded inconsidering the Moral or Philosophical Approach.

Blowin' in the Wind

In life, we have so many questions that seem to have no exact answer. Yet, if we keenly observe our surroundings, the answers sometimes are just right in front of us.
Oftentimes, we become very busy with the things that we thought are the only important things in life that we tend to forget the really important ones.
The song "blowin' in the wind aims" to awaken the minds of the people that sometimes we have to take time to relax and forget our problems, errands and everything like that and somehow take time to realize and ponder about things because who knows, the answer that we have been searching for so long is just blowin' in the wind...

The Sounds of Silence

The song "Sounds of Silence" signifies a time when the persona starts to ponder about the things around him. He thinks in silence, He poonders in silence.
He also stands for the people whose voices were never heard by those people who dominated the society. Perhaps like the authorities and so the minorities were just taken for granted.
This song aims to awaken the minds of the people. For the rich and arrogant people, for them to be aware of the things that are happening around them and also for the poor people, for them to be open and to voice out their feelings and speak up their minds.
This song is precisely about life.

I HAVE A DREAM by Martin Luther Jr.

Reflection:
Everyone has a dream that will serve as a guide and inspiration to become a better person and productive as well. Everybody do not stop dreaming because they are believing that it is possible to reach want they want to be. Like Martin Luther Jr., he dream that someday there is a unity and equality wether black or white, rich or poor, he dream that there is a freedom for the black people to be recognized in their society with equal treatment, he dream that people sholuld not only look on the color of the skin but on the content and capabilities of the black people most espacially.
Like Martin Luther Jr., I have a dream that someday I will become a succesfull one but now a days I dream that all the hardship that I will encounter I can solve it. I have a dream that I will finish my studies and acquire knowledge to be able to use them in my daily living. I have a dream that I can help my family in their needs because they desreve to be help by me, for now, I dream that I will become a good daugther always. In the future I really dream that I can be able to help my family and the people around me.I really have a dream, I will not stop dreaming for the sake of my family and to ohther people. For now those dream will serve as an inspiration for me to become a better person always.

OF STUDIES by Francis Bacon

Reflection:
I think the essay OF STUDIES by Francis Bacon give a lesson that there are instances that every reading activity that we do we have to comprehend the very important details that we need to know and understand. We need to apply what we have learned from the text that we read because it is the most important that we must apply it and share it to others. From the essay itself, I realized that every individual need a proper care so that they will grow healthy and act with a proper manner. Like the plant it needs to cultivate and care properly so that they will bear a fruits which is full of substance. Like fruits students should have patience in their studying, must have a courage to pursue in their studies very well. They must apply what they learn in order to share what they acquired. I like the essay of Francis Bacon because as I notice those words that he used are all related on our daily living. As one of the student I must study very well and should have a focus in my studies.

Decolonizing the Mind: The Politics of Language in African Literature (1986)

Reflection:
In our previous discussion of different subjects the word unity is always being stated and emphasize to us by our proffesor and sometimes by my classmsates. I think the word unity is always being said because the purpose of that is to put to our mind that the oneness of everybody is the best solution if there is a big problem that may come and if the word unity will be put to our mind and to our heart we will always remember what should the correct one that we should do.
For me, Decolonizing the Mind is the tittle of the essay because in the message of the essay that if our mind being coloniazed it is very difficult to forget what we have acquired for so many years. For instance if we suffer to be treated that we are ugly we will always think that we are ugly that cause to ourself to be always think of inferiority to others.

Morning Yet on Creation Day by Chinua Achebe

Reflection:
Morning yet on creation day deals about the struggle of people for independence, hopes, and impediments. When we say creation it refers to something that is being created for a purpose. From the tittle morning yet on creation day, we can say that there is a hope or brightnes, meaning we can change for a better purpose bacause we have given a hope for us to cope with the obstacle that we encounter. The essay is also seeking for independence, they want to have freedom to express what they are thinking and most especially they want to be treated in proper manner. I think the essay trying to tell us that every individual have the right to become free from those who is acting that they are the superior one. The essay implies that we have always given a hope to correct what we are doing is bad that even if we feel that there is no chance anymore, we should just believe and do the best that we can be because there is a hope for us to fight for whatever problem that may come.

The Sounds of Silence by Paul Simon and Blowin in the Wind by Bob Dylan

Reflection:
The Sounds of Silence and Blowin in the Wind both talking about on the life of many people. As we can see there is always a reapeting line of the last stanza that the answer is not exact answer that they need, from the poem itself it tells that we have a lot of things to do to become more strong because we do not know what will happen in the future. I think the message of the poem is to become strong on whatever kinds of struggle in life that we encounter, the poem talk about life that we do not know what will happen to us. I realized that even if we do not know what will happen next we should just do the right things in our daily living, we must be responsible enough to make our own discission in life.

Graduation by Maya Angelou

Graduation, by Maya Angelou tell us her experience duiringher stay in Arkansas Elementary School in 1940's wherein she discovers the attitude of the mainstream culture at her graduation.
In her course of study, she felt burden, frustrations and had experience uneasiness and self-doubt, because as what she stated it was awful for her to be Negro and having no control over her life, and at their young age instead of enjoying their chilhood moments, they are trained to sit quietly and listen to every charges brought against their color having no chance to defend theirselves. Not until her graduation, wherein she realized that it is indeed a great honor to be a member of the beautiful race of Negro.
The moral lesson is that weshould be confident for ourselves but not too proud there must still be humility within us. No matter what color or race we are included what is important is we are morally upright and we avoid things that can cause conflicts and may hurt other feelings. What is important is we believe in ourself and we should take this in our minds that doing our best is more important thatn being the best.

The Man with the Hoe

The poem entitled 'The Man with the Hoe" depicts the life of every great toiler who are brutalized by their masters.
The burden and sufferings that they had experience in their masters or rulers are so true in our present life situation. The poem implies that it isn't the Lord wanted to happen, to have superior over his creation. This implies that we must be just in all aspects especially on how we treat farmers. God created all things fairly and he want to see us doing the same way too. In our vast changing world, we should realize the essentiality of the great farmers and their role in our life, because they are the one who is responsible for providing our basic needs, which is food.
The basic premise in this poem is that we should be humane to all our fellows not considering their statue in life, their color and race, of who are they, instead we should give them all the support they needed and respect that they deserve.

The Great Gatsby (reaction)

FEDERIS, CHRISTINE L.

The novel entitled The Great Gatsby written by one of the sought writer, F. Scott Fitzgerald consider as one of the Modern classic book of all time.
The piece has its own uniqueness and length that when readers get the very essence of the message they would easily understand and be able to relate this in the present situation or contemplate to what is happening in the real life. Though, there are several words that were new and first encountered but then, when you try to read it carefully and precisely you yourself can define and understand the alien words and be ab le to understand the real message of the story that was being convey. In the setting of the novel, i can tell that it was well elaborated , that it gives easiness to the reader to understand when and where is the occurence of that particular scene, which makes reader at ease to go with the flow of the story. The character in the story has its different role to play, wherein the names are always being mentioned and the character was well introduced which gives free-confusion to the readers.
The unity of the story addened to the greatness of the novel. This novel is another inspiration of ours to make our own as well.

Great Gatsby

Ma'am I just wanna to say thank you for sharing us to read this novel,we learned a lot from this novel, This novel its all about life of Gatsby,he came from west egg and he was a lieutenant army, and was in love to Daisy, but she was already married to Tom Buchanan of Chicago with more pomp and circumstances than Louisville, and at the end Gatsby was killed by a man,all of their relatives was shock of this accident,
I learned in this novel we should know how to forgiveness in a one thing.and try to move on,because life is meaningful and we must enjoyed it,Ma'am honestly I'm not fully understand this novel, because is not easy to understand this,I promise to read again.

my reflection in Things Fall Apart

Things Fall Apart was an interesting novel, because we know some information about the culture of the African, this novel is about the tradition of the tribe that all of the male children should join on the wrestling competition, and all the female child will offer and serve a pot f water on a bowl to give on the wrestler mach.In their tribe it is common to have three or more wives, but yo must give them their own hut.and they also believe in the''kula''where it give strength in their daily living,I'm really inspired by Okonwo, because he do their responsibility as a leader of the tribe, okonwo he was considered a famous wrestler and a prosperous farmer with three wives and known a natural leader of whom great thing were expected and he was the member of Ibo tribe in Nigeria.

Things Fall Apart (Formalist Approach by group)

http://media.photobucket.com/image/things%20fall%20apart/nubianworldorder/EBAYSTUFF/THINGSFALLAPART.jpg?o=17

Things Fall Apart, a novel written by Chinua Achebe.

It is an African novel that portrays the African way of life. Africans, as our group have read, value and play great respect and importance to their gods. They even have festivals in order to give thanks to each of their gods.

The characters, especially the prominent ones (and even the narrator) used figurative expressions like metaphor, simile, personification and etc.

The novel is in the third person point of view because the one speaking in the story is not a part os not a character in it. The novel also made use of the "stream of consciousness technique" because there are times that the store goes back to the past to show the things that has happened for the readers to understand the present.

Things Fall Apart is indeed a great and classical novel of all times!!!

Things Fall Apart

http://media.photobucket.com/image/things%20fall%20apart/nubianworldorder/EBAYSTUFF/THINGSFALLAPART.jpg?o=17

my reflection:

I didn't know that I will appreciate this novel, Things Fall Apart, so much because I'm not very much into African Literature and Culture. But as I continue to read, I really got "hooked" on reading the novel. It gave me a hint on how is it to live with Africans.

I was able to relate with Okonkwo, the central figure, because like him, I also hate failure (who elso do? =), and I also have this sort of being "hard-hearted" attitude. I also appreciate Okonkwo for being hard-working and for his determination to succeed. BUT!!! I disagree when he said that "to show affection (except from anger), is a sign of weakness (chapter 4). For him, women are weak and their jobs include cooking, taking care of her children and other nurturing roles like that. In the novel, it was shown that the men are superior to women.

Anyway, another thing that I like was when the Missionaries came to Umoufia to preach about God, Jesus Christ and also about the Holy Trinity. But the Missionaries have different impact in the tribesmen. Some belived them but some didn't, some joined them but some have mocked and even cursed them.

I think the story really happen in the real life situation because some churches (like our church) send Missionaries to different countries or continents like Africa.

I appreciated the novel but I think I will be more satisfied if Okonkwo hadn't died. Maybe it will be happier if he hadn't committed suicide and my heart really goes with what had happened to him..

To Celia by Ben Johnson

To Celia it is written by Ben Johnson same with Psalm 23 the text is written in Archaic or Old English. The poem has rhyme. I guess the message that the message that the persona wanted to convey is all about his deep love to Celia. Perhaps he would like to show that love through the poem.
For me, the poem is a little bit hard to understand because the way its text is written it is difficult for me to convert Archaic to Contemporary English and I'm confused in some of its tenses. maybe the writer can write it in Contemporary English to avoid confusion.
Furthermore the poem inspire lovers---for guys that they should have patients to wait for someone they love and for girls that they should be wise in choosing the right person for them. In general, the poem is entirely a good piece.

Psalm 23

Psalm 23 it is from the book of Psalm in the old testament in the Bible. The text is written in archaic or old English and it is a free verse kind of poem. I guess Psalm 23 is a praising song made by David for God, during the time that God blessed him so much. And I think the reason why it is written in that way because it is taken from the King James Version (Bible version).
The disadvantage of using Archaic English ---sometimes it is difficult for the reader to understand the poem, because it is not easy to translate Archaic to Contemporary English and using it their maybe a confusion of the tenses when it is translated. While advantage of using the poem it inspires the readers to be dependent on God.
For me, the entire poem is a good peace especially for the readers who are suffering pain and have struggles. Like what I tell it teaches us to be depend on God, because God can do great possible things that really help us to face struggles and pain that serves us challenge in life.

Literary Criticism a Reflection

I realized that in studying Literary Criticism, their must be a brief introduction of the subject in the class. To further understand the Literary Criticism Map a background of the approaches is needed, because their might be a confusion on part of the reader if he's going to interpret the map without a little knowledge about the approaches.
Now, I understand what ia meant by the map through reading the explanation. I also learned that the approaches are related to each other.
But in the examples of some approaches on literary Criticism in the study guide, I wanted to further understand the examples because most of it are unfamiliar to me and also the approaches in the same way.

Literary Criticism

My reflection:
Criticizing a literary work is not an easy thing to do. The term "to criticize" has negative connotation to everyone but I learned that it's not really negative at all. I also learned that there are steps in criticizing a literary work. In fact, there are also purposes of criticism. Here are the following purposes:(1)to help us resolve a difficulty in the reading, (2)to help us choose the better of two conflicting readings, and; (3)to enable us to form judgments about literature.
There are also different approaches of criticism like the Historical approach, Moral approach, Mimetic approach, Formalism, Psychological approach, Mythological, Feminist approach and reader response criticism.
These different approaches will really help us students to criticize literary works more easily and fairly.

To Celia

The persona is, I think, in love to a woman named Celia. But perhaps, there are some "obstacles" in their relationship (I don't know what they are) =). He sent a rosy wreath to Celia to give the wreath a hope that with Celia, it wont wither and die. (maybe Celia is dead because he sent a wreath=)). But Celia sent the wreath back to him. The wreath then grew but not of itself but because of Celia. Like the rosy wreath, hes love for Celia wont also wither.

To Celia

psalm 23

My reflection:

Psalms 23 is a psalm of King David. A psalm that shows how God love and protect his people. God is compared to a good shepherd that would lead his sheep in green pastures, still waters and in the paths of righteousness.
As humans, we have many problems in life, different problems depending upon our ages, professions, etc. but we must not worry for God is always with us. His "rod" and his "staff" will comfort us.
God has his own way of loving us. In fact, He has different plans for you, for me and for everyone. We might not think about it but He already thought about it for us.
Life is beautiful if we only let God live inside our hearts. he is only a prayer away from us. The best shepherd above all the shepherds.
